Eligibility Criteria – LLM (I&SL) 2026–27 (Batch VI)
Applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background. Performance in 10th grade, 12th grade and every year of graduation are considered in the selection process. OR
Passed Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years’ duration and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any stream.OR
Applicants in the last year of their bachelor’s degree program and awaiting their final results can also apply. However, their admission will be considered as provisional and is subject to fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria within the specified timeframe.
Candidates must satisfy the following criteria to apply for the programme:
- LLB Degree or an equivalent examination of a minimum three years’ duration with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Eligibility for Industry/Institution-Sponsored Candidates:
- Candidates working with the Regulators (SEBI, RBI, PFRDA, IRDAI, IBBI, CCI, etc.), Market Infrastructure Institutions (NSE, BSE, MCX, NSDL, CDSL, etc.), Banks and Financial Institutions, Securities Market Intermediaries, Government Departments, Judiciary and Advocates for a period of three years and above are eligible to apply under this category. All other eligibility criteria for admission will remain the same as applicable to other candidates.
Selection Procedure
The Merit List will be generated based on the valid composite score of Entrance score 2026, Online Personal Interview, Past Academics and Gender Diversity. The merit list for the admissions is prepared as per the weightage given below:

Application fee
The application fee is Rs. 1000/-. The fee can be paid in https://apply.nism.ac.in/llm upon completion of filling out the application form, using a Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking. The entire application process including payment of the application fee, is online.

Recruiters
Admissions to NISM programs are carried out only through the online application, NISM has not authorized any third party to initiate applications on its behalf. NISM does not admit students under Management Quota or any other form of reservation. Any third party organization or individual offering management quota seats for NISM would be fraudulent and applicants are requested not to approach such organizations or individuals.
